Searching the University of Brighton's websites

The Community University Partnership Programme (CUPP) and the University of Brighton are participating in the placetobe.net, an important community partnership that aims to improve local information provision, especially through the Internet and other new technologies.

This website is an example of the prototype search engine developed by the partnership. It allows you to search across all the university's publicly available research material.

You can also search the Cupp website, the university's health resources and all University of Brighton websites

The founding partners of theplacetobe.net partnership are drawn from public, private and community sectors and have been funded by central Government to develop knowledge management solutions to meet the needs of local people and the local organisations which gather, manage and publish information.

As well as developing new information resources the partnership is keen to make the most of existing information. The first stage of the work focuses on the development of tools, such as this search engine, that will allow locally owned and managed information to be publicly searchable.
